The easiest role in what? Farming, doing missions, PvP, Speed Clears, getting invited into a party, Elite Missions, general gameplay, Title grinding?

An easy profession to start with is Warrior. Lots of armor, decent damage. Hard to master though.

Well, since dervishes aren't used in high-end pvp >: / you have a warrior and an elementalist left. Both are very good and used in both pve and pvp. But a warrior is harder to really master, imo. Play what you like more.. Try out all three of the professions and decide. And besides, you can always make a pvp character if you want a different role in pvp. Play'em all

Of the three you have listed the ele is the easiest to play.

Warrior is easy to play BUT it takes time to understand how to effectively be one. Although this could be said for most classes.

Monk will be the hardest to play (If you choose healing or protection.Smiting is easy with RoJ)

However I like to lean towards ranger. After a while you might just be sitting there auto attacking and saying "MAKIN ARROWS ASPLODE! YEA!!!"

...god I miss healbot blues. But yeah ranger or warrior would be good starting places.

If you're going to ask what profession is easiest to play, I suggest you stay away from high-end PvE and PvP.

From my experience warrior,

Second choice would be a ranger, but that starts to take a little more understanding. Then spellcasters, buffing and healing with monks and ritualists.
(Which if you mess up will get you criticized )

Assassin needs an understanding of spell chaining, and Dervish, meh.

Ele is almost certainly the easiest class to play.

Most eles are very dumb but still manage to do damage where a dumb warrior would not.

Dervishes are right up there as well.

for a new player I suggest warrior or ele.
the question is, do u like melee or caster classes?
If u like melee, go warrrior, they also have the most cool armours :P
If u like caster, go ele.

In my experience, starting out as a warrior will give you a good idea of the basics of the game. However, once you settle in, you'll find that warriors are a lot less versatile than elementalists. There are very few places to solo-farm with a warrior, while elementalists can farm almost anywhere. Also, many of the canned team builds for end-game areas call for more elementalists (and assassins) than warriors. You're really not going to find an "easy" route through the end-game areas, but you can always make both and see how you like each.

I would just say play what you want to. You are not going to learn the profession if you don't play it. (although i don't recommend paragon for newbies) and untill you play it, it wont be "Easy"

I have a character of each profession except for paragon & mesmer.
Of the professions you are thinking about, i would say elementalists are the easiest to play, due to the fact that all it takes to use one is being able to read and comprehend what your spells do and use them appropriately..eventually this will come into play when you pvp. You will have to then determine which skill effects suit your team and may counter what the other has in store. I don't reccomend pvping until you have a full grasp of all the skills of most of the professions as well as having knowledge on how to rune your armor and what weapon sets are vital. My main character is a warrior and i will tell you that i have more fun on my warrior in both pve and pvp than my elementalist which i seldom even use. In regards to which will get you a group? well it all depends how you carry yourself in the game..warriors are called to in a sense..lead a team in pvp and somewhat in pve. If you get a team and blindly run in to enemies and use a non-meta build...most likely you will be called a noob for over-extending your healer or just plain sucking. To simplify the warrior...your damage soak in pve and pressure in pvp.

As for elementalists, don't get me wrong...they are important to teams too. In fact, your performance can determine the majority of the damage capabilities of the team. It's your job to calculate how the enemies will bunch up for maximum damage spread-as with any class, it's not reccomended to pvp with a limited knowledge of the game.As said above..the way you act determines teams..but if you have been in a guild for any length of time..your guildies will know your level of playing and either help you or shun you for it.

I didn't leave out dervishes ;D...Well, the dervish is a nightfall profession, so of course your going to have less base skills than a warrior or elementalists.
Many people play dervishes which gives them a bad rap...I want to say that to new players, the dervish is the most appealing..having a scythe and the like, but again with their lack of skills..they just aren't in the GW meta and you won't get into groups in pvp with a dervish unless your in AB (lol)It's all relative and i could spend all day on the topic of professions but i'll just simplify it for you

Warrior- Damage Soak / Pressure damage

Elementalist- Area of Effect / team damage supply

Dervish- Moderate damage and self heals...good all around pve class

As i said..there are many factors that determine whether you find a teamand which are easiest to play..hope this has helped
